چکیده
Abstract This contribution presents simulation results, implementation, and first tests of a monolithic detector developed at KIT. It consists sensor diode tightly integrated with an analogue front-end based on SiGe (Silicon-Germanium) SG13G2 130 nm BiCMOS technology produced the Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics (IHP). The pixel size is 100 μm × μm, nwell charge collection node dimensions were reduced to 10 μm. We investigate influence this approach performance, spatial resolution via sharing timing behaviour.

Phase Frequency Detector Using Transmission Gates for High Speed Applications
In this paper a new phase-frequency detector is proposed using transmission gates which can detect phase difference less than 500ps. In other word, the proposed Phase-frequency Detector (PFD) can work in frequencies higher than 1.7 GHz, whereas a conventional PFD operates at frequencies less than 1.1 GHz. This new architecture is designed in TSMC 0.13um CMOS Technology. Also, the proposed PFD a...
متن کاملA novel, SiPM-array-based, monolithic scintillator detector for PET.
Silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) are of great interest to positron emission tomography (PET), as they enable new detector geometries, for e.g., depth-of-interaction (DOI) determination, are MR compatible, and offer faster response and higher gain than other solid-state photosensors such as avalanche photodiodes. Here we present a novel detector design with DOI correction, in which a position-se...
متن کاملDual Phase Detector Based Delay Locked Loop for High Speed Applications
In this paper a new architecture for delay locked loops will be presented. One of problems in phase-frequency detectors (PFD) is static phase offset or reset path delay. The proposed structure decreases the jitter resulted from PFD by switching two PFDs. In this new architecture, a conventional PFD is used before locking of DLL to decrease the amount of phase difference between input and outpu...
متن کاملA silicon strip detector system for high resolution particle tracking in turbulence
We describe a high speed imaging system that is used to track tracer particles in highly turbulent flows. The system uses silicon strip detectors designed for high energy physics experiments and is capable of reading two detectors at a frame rate of 70 kHz. Each detector contains 512 strips and measures a one-dimensional projection of the light striking it. The position measurements from this s...
